Just a note to say thanks to each of you that participated in the 4th Annual Major Taylor Commemorative Tour this past Saturday!! It was by all means a success, in that we had more riders this year than in past y ears and there was great representation form our club members and the Majors for Dayton. Everything went very smoothly; with the exception of one mishap on the bike with a Major from Dayton (no injury), it was a good day.

I also want to thank each and every one of you that helped to pull this off (if I miss someone let me know). Thanks to Kevin for another smooth handling of the SAG/mechanic extraordinaire; Jed, Brad, Lloyd, Brian for the great job on marking the route; Matt for an excellent map of the route that really helped a lot of folks, and to all you other Majors who in some other way or another helped to make this a successful event….thank you, thank you!!

We are getting to the point now where we just might be ready to expand this event into a century and really show case our club. We got a number of riders asking for membership and to just know more about us. Clearly we have become the drawing card for the Long Street Tour and for attracting other cyclists who want to just ride with the Majors!!

Finally, let’s give a BIG UPS for our Prez, who hung throughout the day (cane & all) to make sure that our club was well represented. He is the “Major” reason we have been able to keep this club event together and moving forward. So Thanks Prez for all that you do and for keeping this MTCC thing alive and well!! We appreciate you!!

Thanks to all!!
